VOTING INFORMATION

VOTE IN THE GENERAL ELECTION!

The November 5 general election is quickly approaching and we urge you to get out and vote!

North Dakota offers several ways you can cast your ballot:

      • Absentee Voting/Vote by Mail
      • Early Voting
      • Election Day at the Polls

The North Dakota Secretary of State’s website has tools and information to find your polling place or request your ballot and you may visit that here but we also wanted to share some links, deadlines, and information to help you make your vote count!

No matter how you choose to vote, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

      • Are you a U.S. Citizen?
      • Are you at least 18 years old?
      • Have you lived in North Dakota at least 30 days?
      • Do you have a valid form of ID (includes North Dakota driver’s license, North Dakota non-driver’s license/ID, Tribal ID or Tribal letter, or long-term care certificate).

VOTE BY MAIL

To vote by mail, you must request a ballot through your county auditor's office. Click the button below to request an application for an absentee/vote by mail ballot. Once you complete the application and sign it, you may mail or deliver your application to the appropriate election official.

DEADLINE: Ballots must be postmarked or dropped off in person by November 4th to be counted.

EARLY VOTING

The following counties offer early voting at certain dates and times prior to Election Day: Burleigh, Cass, Grand Forks, Morton, Stark, Stutsman and Ward.

When arriving to your early voting location, a poll worker will review your ID and ask three questions to ensure you are eligible to vote in North Dakota:

Are you at least 18 years of age?
Are you a U.S. Citizen?
Have you lived in North Dakota for the past 30 days?

ELECTION DAY AT THE POLLS

Vote on Election Day at your precinct polling location and make sure to bring your ID. When arriving, a poll worker will review your ID and ask three questions to ensure you are eligible to vote in North Dakota:

Are you at least 18 years of age?
